Presenting Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit, so that people will come to put their trust in GOD through Him, to accept Him as their Saviour and serve Him as their Lord and King in the fellowship of the Church.

Meeting people in situations where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is given the opportunity to change individuals and groups and bring them toward wholeness, save them and situate them in the context of the Christian community so their lives can be enhanced.

Regardless of which definition is chosen, in its simplest term:

"TO EVANGELISE” IS TO TELL OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT CHRIST AND WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US……AND WHAT HE CAN DO FOR THEM!

An Evangelism committee was re-established at Christ the King parish during the tenure of Fr. Rodney Burrows in 2006. Its mandate was to promote this vital ministry of the church.

In order for the church to carry out this most important aspect of its work, the church itself needs to be sensitised, energised, and invigorated with a thirst for the souls of men and women. To this end the Evangelism Committee has pursued and are continuing to pursue and encourage the growth of the Renewal Movement within the church by sponsoring Mission Services, Discovery weekends, and Sponsoring candidates for Cursillo weekends.

Consideration is now being given to a FAITH ALIVE exercise which involves the entire church. Training of volunteers to engage in house to house visits and special outreach to the youth of the church and the neighbourhood are plans that are also being considered.
