Ranfurly Brown, rector of Christ the King, and first president, Mrs. Kathy Longley, whose goal was to enhance the smooth operation of the services conducted in the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objective<\/strong><br>To provide opportunities for its members to serve God in church as they worship, study, and give of their services and talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities:<\/strong><br>The Usher Board of Christ the King meets once per month and assists in the duties of all the church\u2019s services.<br>Responsibilities\u2019 include<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ushering at all church services and the orderly collection of the offerings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Escort guests and members to their seat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Distribution of materials relating to the services such as hymn books, bulletins etc.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Directing the congregation and visitors during the Holy Communion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presenting our guests with visitor\u2019s cards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The counting of all parishes\u2019 that attend the services and partake in the Holy Communion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The board\u2019s uniform during the winter months and for all funerals is navy blue suits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The uniform for the spring and summer months, are all white.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Usher Board Members are rotated on a monthly basis to participate in Sunday services - the reading of the scriptures and intercession during the 10 a.m. corporate Sunday service.<br>The board holds its annual anniversary service every October along with causal Christmas social.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":267,"template":"","class_list":["post-75","ministry","type-ministry","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"meta_box":{"leader_s_name":"Leader's Name"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ctk.csbtech-projects.dev\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ministry\/75","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ctk.csbtech-projects.dev\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ministry"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ctk.csbtech-projects.dev\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/ministry"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ctk.csbtech-projects.dev\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/267"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ctk.csbtech-projects.dev\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=75"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
